What is SAE split flange?
SAE split flange is a most popular type of SAE flanges, usually two halves (a pair) make up A split flange. Actually a pair of SAE split flange halves are made from a SAE flange clamp, by cutting the SAE flange clamp into two halves. So this product is known as split flange clamp also. Our factory manufactures and supplies best China SAE split flange halves in full range of dimensions. And there are two main series of Split flange clamp, which are:
- Class SAE 3000 psi series, also known as code 61 split flange
- Class SAE 6000 psi series, also known as code 62 split flange.

Code 61 Split Flange Materials
As one of the leading China SAE flange manufacturer & supplier, our factory produces SAE split flange in most popular materials as below.
Carbon steel: SAE 1020 (C20), ST52.3, SAE 1045 (C45).
Stainless steels: 304 /304L, 316 /316L stainless steel, 316Ti, and corresponding EN/DIN steel grade as 1.4301 /1.4307, 1.4401 /1.4404, 1.4571.
Other materials such as duplex steels are available on customer’s request.
SAE 3000 PSI Split flange Surface Finishing
Stainless steel SAE split flange halves are supplied with blank surface as they are, no any surface treatment is required. However, if the customer request, we can offer electro-polished surface treatment.
Carbon steel code 61 split flange usually need to surface treated in the purpose of Anti-rust and anti-corrosion. Our split flanges can be supplied with surface treatment as below:
- Zinc coated (white): Salt Spray Test > 72 Hours ( for higher requirement, we can also do with 200 Hours salt spray test on requests )
- Galvanized zinc (yellow)
- Phosphated (black)
- Nickle plated
Besides the above, however, some customers will prefer surface as below in the consideration of cost.
- Untreated oiled
- Untreated oxidation
SAE 3000 PSI Split Flange Working pressure
Depends on the flange itself size and the flange screws used, our class 3000 psi Socket weld flanges can be used under standard working pressures on requests.
- the working pressure can be max. 35bar to max. 350 bar
Code 61 split flange dimensions
We offer full 3000 psi SAE split flange dimension range as below.
- For Code 61 split flange (SAE 3000 psi series) : 1/2″ (DN15) to 5″ (DN125)

3000psi SAE split flange fittings
Our 3000 SAE split flange (code 61 split flange) usually is supplied with accessory fittings as below.
- Bolts: the bolts of our SAE split flange can be ISO metric or UNC standard, and available in stainless steel and carbon steel on request.
- Nuts
- O-ring: The material of the O-ring can be NRB, KFM, Viton and so on upon customer’s request.
- Flange adaptor
Our SAE split flange can be supplied in kits as SAE flange couplings, which is known as double flanges also.
